Hello,

I recently completed the safety recall U62 which reprograms the powertrain control module. Jeep Cares clarified that this recall in fact addresses the cruise control feature problems that people might have experienced.

I just want to ask if anyone has experienced different behavior from your vehicle ever since you applied this recall at the dealership. I don't use cruise control much so I am not sure if that is any different. However, I did notice something positive from this recall update. Before this, I was experiencing a staticy sound when the ESS kicks in and shuts off the engine. Not every time, but most of the times there will be a distort sound heard through the speakers almost as if there was a short-circuit. Ever since I completed the update recall, I have not experienced this sound any more and am pretty relieved.

Thought I'd share in case anyone had this same problem or now witnessing anything different.

I had the recall work done this past Friday with no issues experienced before or after the work on my JLUR.

I didn’t have any problem before but when I brought her in for another repair, they said I should get this done... I hate fixing what’s not broken but hopefully it will be fine
