I am running to pod lights and started to tuck my wires in a nice little slot (my blurry finger is pointing to it) but wanted to double check that I shouldn't be worried about anything such as heat, etc.

Basically I tucked the wires up under that white piece of metal and that plastic tube, I am not sure what runs through there. If this is safe to do, I will tuck the rest of the wires behind that mounts on the left of the photos.

Thanks !! Mark

It’s probably fine as long as the wires you’re running are sufficiently protected from abrasion.

I actually ran wiring in the chase itself for a more factory appearance. See post 3 for a brief how-to.

That is a good article, thanks for sharing. So you can open up that chase and run though there? that would be ideal if doable? Is is a ton or work?

Also, glad to know it is a called a chase and cowl sheet metal. I'm already smarter :)

It’s not a ton of work. Just a bit of a PITA to get the clips opened up. Small screwdriver, some patience and 20-30 minutes of time is all it took.
