I have them on my Tundra and JK. The Tundra picked up about +2mpg. The JK change was negligible but it sounds throaty and feels a little punchier under hard acceleration. I had CAI's on both my 2.0T Saabs in the early 90's and those engines really liked the extra airflow. Looking forward to giving this one a try.

Fit and finish on the S&B parts is OEM-like. They make good stuff.

Iā€™ll wait for Mishimoto to finish R&D on theirs and grab the better one.

S&Bā€™s is pretty interesting, looks like itā€™s very top-down weather-proof with water egress designed into the intake scoop, but at a cost of less water fording depth.

This is great! Hopefully it kicks Mishimoto in the pants a little bit and we can get their products here a bit quicker! Would love to get some reviews and pictures from those of you who ordered! Seems like a great price and real quality product!

Not trying to start WW3, but haven't CAI systems been proved to be useless?

Not always. Depends on what your goals are.

More power? Depends on the manufacturer. Some may be better peak numbers but get massive heat soak with everyday driving
More noise? Most will get a little noisier too.
Water fording? Stick with OEM, unless specifically designed
Legal in California? Look for CARB certification, or revert to OEM every smog check
Bling factor? Aftermarket wins?

Here's a pretty in-depth video that goes into running an actual cold air intake vs. a "cold air intake".

So I wasnā€™t going to chime in but I will, did you watch the video on this intake for the 2.0L JL? This intake is going to flow better than the factory intake. On a turbo motor Air equals happy motor as thatā€™s how they are designed to run. Now on a Normally aspirated motor maybe not as much.

If you donā€™t like it donā€™t do it period point blank.
