Good luck! I ran it on Saturday for the first time. We rolled onto the trail at 10:15am and off at 4:45pm, but it was a pretty intense day.

Yeah, some people can really run through quick I guess. There's a guy in our group last year in Moab that claims to have run it in ~3-4 hours who is local to the area -- my guess is on an off day. Runs it in his JKU (full Genright elite build). That thing is compliant as shit offroad. Truly incredible.

Have fun!

I’ve done my homework on the con. It’s 8.9 miles to the observation point. After that it mellows out a lot.
if you have a real built rig and know the trail well it can be run that quickly.
it’s Fordyce that’s the realhardcore challenge

Thanks! I didn’t really care for the t case but one came up on the market from a 2020 and I couldn’t pass up the deal. Was the same time I was about to regear so I went with the tcase instead. Since it’s a 2.0 it’s a great upgrade for my 4low!

I certainly didn't challenge him on it after riding in his rig. Nutty. I can't imagine running it that fast though.

So I saw some dedicated offroad Jeeps that were going twice as fast as me, but of course, they were the rigs that showed up to the trail on a trailer and didn't look much like a Jeep anymore. It's not that there are so many challenging obstacles, but rather it's a constant tiptoe through fields of boulders that are taller than your differential. I'm running 39's on a 3.5" Metalcloak lift, but I was constantly having to pick lines to avoid bashing my differentials. Oh - and all of my passengers said it was a great core workout :CWL:

To give you an idea, much of the first 9 miles looked like this:

You are gonna have such a memorable time. Wifey and I ran it 3 times back in the day, before they paved little sluice. I made it through little sluice 1 time before the big boulder “fell” in (aka, got pushed in). Beautiful place. Can’t wait to go back.

As for speed on the trail, you can actually move along at a very steady pace if you have well built rigs. Problem arises when a broken rig clogs up the trail with no way around. I’d love to go mid-week and do the trail both directions.
