Hi Everyone, i was just wondering if its okay to run 37's on a Rubicon with a two inch lift without any rubbing. Im still split between a Rubicon with 37's, Rubicon with 35's and a lift, Rubicon with no lift and 35's, or Sahara with a lift and 35's.

There's some out there with 2.5" and 37's. I'm waiting for some 3" lifts to come out.

But like with the 37’s cause rubbing with just a 2inch or do I need all those stablizers?

I think I am going to try putting 35’s on my JLUR with no lift. Seems like there are a lot of successes with that set up with little to minimal rubbing.

You need a 2.5” or more. Off road it will rub at anything smaller. Not hard to adjust it, but it will rub. Also, WTF is a stablizer? Are you a pot head Evan? Lol.

He's referring to the steering stabilizer. I think it's pretty common practice on JK's to upgrade the steering stabilizer with any kind of lift kit. Doesn't seem as common with lifted JL's.

I haven't seen anyone run 37's on a Rubicon without a lift...I'd be curious to see what that looks like. I think the general consensus is that 35's on a Rubicon without a lift look the best, and 37's on a Rubicon with a 2" lift (or more) look the best. Notice I said "look" the best, and not "perform" the best. :giggle:

I have a true 2" lift with 2" bumpstop extensions. I am running 37s on stock wheels and they do not rub. The BFG KO2 is a "smaller" 37" tire.

I just got my wheels and tires put on this week. Waiting for Metal Cloaks 2.5" lifts. Normal DD driving, no problem whatsoever. I haven't had a chance to get on the dirt yet, but 90% of my offroading is just forest roads and the like.

2.5" rubicon express lift, Mopar Fox shocks, 17" fuels and 37" BFG KM3s. Had to pull small plastic inner rear fender well because it rubbed when fully compressed, it rubbed with another brand of 37s as well.

Love it!
