So I installed the rugged ridge plug in harness, All the LED marker lights on my trailer light up including the two tail-lights. However the brakes and the blinkers do not. So I know I know I have power and ground to the tail lights. I am also aware that with this harness if you have upgraded LED tail lights on your jeep, incandescent trailer lights would not work until you went back to factory lights.

All that said my question is, Do you think upgrading to LED tail light with a built in resistor would make my trailer lights work? Or am I going to have to splice into the factory harness.
Thanks

It's possible. Does the RR harness connect direct to the brake light wiring, or is it separate like the OEM install?
