Yes it is a solid cast. Can anyone confirm this mount is a solid casting. I would like to drill and tap for a CB mount directly on the gate plate?

Where did you get the foot? I'll give it a whirl.
Figured I'd drop my experience here incase it helps anyone out. I also have the RR tire carrier and hinge kit. When it got cold out I also developed a rattle, but ended up luckily not being bolts. For me the issue was solved with the ol' rubber chair foot bump-stop extension.

I'll go pick one up. What department are they in? I didn't know they sold chair parts.Menards

Radiatior hose over the top of the OEM bumper then cut to length works too.I used these before I before I bought my new wheels and it worked great. Old wheels had 4.5" back spacing and the new wheels are 3.5". Just go to Lowes or Home Depot and ask for barstool rubber feet. I think I paid $7.00 for a pack of 4.
I called RR regarding this and they said that's the way it's supposed to fit. I asked about water getting in and rusting out the body. They said that the body is open on the bottom and water won't collect. I called BS on that but it was clear they didn't know what they were talking about. For those that own and installed this RR cast hinge have issues with gaps where hinges go through body to the inner tub? Is there any rubber gaskets or sealant to be sure there is no gaps for moisture or dirt to get in? Any issues or suggestions? TIA
