QUOTE="Jeep@Aus, post: 1096847, member: 25368"]Did you get it. How did you go with the install?[/QUOTE]

Yes! i did install it over last weekend, took me only about 2 hours, relatively easy installation. Here's my feedback on the snorkel:

- QC 8/10 - the new cowl mount leaves a significant gap to the rest of the body, the high mount section does not sit flush to the Windscreen/A pillar leaves a significant gap even after using the included bump stop.

- Functionality 9.5/10 - Yet to test it fully (i.e river crossing). However i can already tell my butt dyno has gained few horses, throttle response is more smother.

- Look - 11/10 - The best designed snorkel (CAI) i have seen for the JL, easy and module and looks fantastic!

I am still thinking of painting it to match the Jeeps' body colour, i am two minded about it, have anyone painted there's (in Firecracker Red)?

Great .Would love to see some photos if you don't mind . Did you order from Quadratec directly ? Did you have to call them for international delivery or is that just through their website? I heard the Jeep Konection in Hallam is a Rugged Ridge retailer and has these available shortly.

With the painting you may want to look at painting just around the grill https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...products-build-sema-2018-jlwf-coverage.17577/ . Will look awesome in Red when in short mode.

May be Red on the top bit too - https://www.google.com/imgres?imgur...hUKEwjzjPWY8vjoAhULBHIKHXqdAmUQMygDegUIARCyAg ...

mmm May be do some photoshoping before you touch the high mount

Will take some photos this weekend. I think I will just paint the lower cowl mount, and leave the high top stock black.

yes it does, but maybe bit less then yours, overall the fittings of various parts are poor. I guess its the flip side of the flexible design of this snorkel. Saying that I don't think the gap effects the overall functionality of the CAI.
Agree on the CAI. My question was more related to testing it in river crossings. And I'm not referring to deep water, it's not like most people say, "If you got water up to that level, you have bigger problems." If you have experience with water fording, you know how easy it is to go through a short deep spot and have a wave go over the hood, where soaking water through the intake would be the only risk. That's my major concern about this snorkel. To me, this is a great idea with a very poor execution :crying:
