Additional noted thing:

So, the recirculation turns off automatically in 4 minutes not only when it is in defrost mode, but also when the blower is set to blow on legs only.
Legs and chest is when it does not turn off.

Honestly, no logic, rhyme or reason.
I think it is a result of firmware development outsourced to wherever other than the US. India, maybe?

Anecdotal, but 10 years or so ago the California software company I worked for moved the SW development of their key product to a wholly owned sub in India. The programmers there very often made changes to the way things worked because they thought it made more sense. Never told anyone. We'd find it out during deep testing often requiring significant delays redoing docs, training material or the SW itself.

Things I saw done in India by software engineers included but were not limited to.....writing in "C", when moving pointer along an array, they would not check the bounds violation which is a textbook requirement.

Strange...in mine recirc button will turn on AC but then when pressing AC to turn it off, the recirc light stays on.
If it doesn't you should see the serviceman.

Hey man cut 'em some slack, they do a lot more than a virtual hug. They help you get the ball rolling on a problem by having a rep contact you (if you ask them to open a ticket) and then that rep sticks with you the entire time the issue is being resolved.
@JeepCares has opened a few tickets for me and then those reps that they put me in touch with reach out to the dealer and make sure that my issues are being addressed. And when a dealer gets a call from one of those reps they know the issue is already in an elevated state.
What do you want them to do? Diagnose your problem here on a forum and offer up official FCA solutions for you to try and see if they work? Yeah that's not how it works because it will spiral into a CF in short order.
I'll be the first to admit that FCA quality control isn't winning any awards but the fact that they make a presence on the forum to help when issues comes up is a positive.

That's not even close to being accurate, factual, or even possible.
SMH, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell this guy too... lol.

I appreciate Jeep Cares monitoring the forum. Any line of communication and assistance is better then none. I would think a lot of the assistance and follow up from them happens outside of the forum between the member, FCA and the dealer. I have reached out to Jeep Cares with questions and they have replied via PM promptly. They also reconfirmed with engineers or product specialist if my questions were not within the scope of their duties. They got me confirmed, accurate answers quickly. Their replies were very through.
