I have a 2018 Sahara. I was getting some rubi rails from a guy and he gave me his take off suspension. However, only 1 of the fronts and 1 of the backs has the tags. I was told only buy rubi take offs that have the tags because each is corner specific. I got these for free. Is there any other way to figure out which is the # for the unmarked spring?

From the tag numbers you do know those are some of the "heavier" JLU springs. More than likely from a hardtop, steel bumper maybe even tow package Rubicon. They should give you a pretty solid lift and as mentioned above just put the longer of the two on the passenger side.

I have the 3661 on front passenger and I gained 3”. However, I’m a 2 door sport with manual trans, 3.6, plastic bumper, and soft top. So I’m as light as it gets. I run it without any extra bumpstop and my 285/70r17’s on 4.63” backspaced wheels tuck into the fenders just right when flexed.

Passenger droops good with no unseating even though I’m running longer shocks.

The longer spring in each pair goes on the passenger side, and here's my install thread if you need some info on that.

FWIW you got some of the longest springs so should provide a good lift, also I'd get longer mopar lift LCAs to keep Jeep tracking well at high speeds, post #4 in my link has the info on that.
I actually have your thread book marked if I had ever decided to go this route.

I had just gotten a quote from our local jeep shop for a 2.5 metal cloak and 315s. But these freebies have made me question that idea now. 🤷‍♂️

crazy. I also had to install longer shocks on mine. My suspension came from a fully loaded 2 door rubi though. Still gave me 2 inches of lift and the rubi shocks kept overextending.

Interestingly I have a front metal bumper and winch. It still sits a tad taller tan a Rubicon. Pretty wild.

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
If one has the tag, you know which one it is, therefore the other spring is the "other" spring. It's not rocket surgery, right?

If you have a tag that comes out as a "left" spring, the other must be a right spring, right?

Ohhh but metal cloak is sweet. Depends what youre gonna do with your Jeep. But honestly rubi springs. Then buy some long travel shocks like Fox 2.0 for 2in lift or the Bilstein 5100 for 2inch lift. Throw in high clearance fenders and 1 inch spacers. youre golden.

If you had some of the lower # springs I'd probably just go w/ the cloak, but you have some of the highest # springs so it would be worthwhile going that route if you want adequate lift for a 35.

The 2.5 metalcloak will be more than 2.5 unless you have super heavy gear all over. I think it would look off and I think it requires you add bumpstop. However, it would clear the 315’s where as these won’t without adding bump or replacing fenders.
Here I am at 3” above sport, so likely 1.5” above Rubi:
Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon Take off Question 2672A050-8400-4B07-96C9-6EA15B79F522

I’d anticipate another 1.5” plus if I had Metalcloak 2.5’s. But your tires would eat up another half inch or so.

This is what I had assumed, but didn't want to get the jeep apart and then realize something was off.

Not exactly that simple....a 62 spring could be a left, right or either spring depending on how the original vehicle was equipped. There's about a half dozen front springs and a half dozen rear springs. The higher the number the more weight it was designed to support. And that's just with the gas motor ones. The diesels follow the same methodology but have a different group of part numbers. So do the XR package springs. The one thing that seems to be fairly constant is that if you have a set of springs from a Jeep the taller one is on the passenger side to support the extra weight of the fuel tank.

Well the #92 is the tallest part number I am aware of for the rear, so the other rear coil is most likely a #91. The part numbers are just one apart from each other per side. #62 is the highest on the front, so since you have a #61, the other is most likely a #60 or #62.

Hope that helps.

How can you tell from the numbers? Is there a list or chart for the springs and shocks?
