Sometimes when I Disconnect the swaybar at a trail head it seems to have difficulty with the disconnect. It shows disconnected then reconnects. I’ve been told I should disconnect on flattish terrain but honestly it doesn’t seem to change the issue. If it’s not seeing articulation does it auto connect? I’d really prefer to have it disconnected off road to soften the ride, even on forest service roads.

It will try to reconnect if the vehicle speed is 18mph but otherwise it should remain disconnected until you push the button again.

I believe you have to be in 4H or 4L to disconnect.

It disconnects and reconnects better if you’re moving slightly. It will reconnect if you go too fast, will then re-disconnect itself when you slow down.
