anybody try this yet? I was thinking about it but the RC spacer is .75 inches, and I’m worried that will be too much. I’m just hoping to take the rake out of it and level it.

Is that the RC .75 inch leveling spacer or the 2.5 inch leveling kit?

I'm sorry I didn't realize they had a spacer only. It's the 2.5 lift.

I have this setup it drives and handles great. I figure it's exactly the same as if a Rubicon put a rc kit on.

The 33s look a little small now though.

Do you know what your max height is? I’m considering the same lift but my parking garage is only 77 in. I think I’d be fine with 33’s not sure about 35’s.

I just picked up a rubicon suspension and ordered the RC leveling kit, did you ever go through with it?

I agree with the 33s looking small....I wanted to do the same thing but now I might just go with the 2.5 lift or rubi take offs

The only reason I can see needing the leveler is to compensate for the weight of a steel front bumper and winch.

There is a .5" rake on the front. I put the 2.5" RC spacer lift on my wife's Sahara with 33" Rubi rims/tires and it looks great. The 2.5" spacer lift is a 2.5" spacer in the front and a 2" spacer in the rear. This removes the rake and gives the Jeep a level stance and a really great look.

Before lift...

After lift...

I have a full Rubi suspension sitting in the garage that she wants me to put on next to give it about another .5" of over all lift. Plus I am putting a winch on the front so the Rubi suspension, which is a tiny bit stiffer, should allow less drop with the additional weight.

At the end of the day, IMO, take the rake out. It is a way better stance!!!

Why not just put the rubicon suspension parts on and then measure the rake?

That's a good point for someone starting from scratch. From one of the pics it looks like the Rubi suspension on a sport removed the rake from the front. There def is a rake on the JL stock although I don't think it is as bad as the JK.

The reason I had the Rubi parts was to only do a Rubi suspension swap. The Mrs. said she wanted it to be higher, hence the RC lift. Now she wants it a little more so I will go ahead and throw the Rubi stuff on it. I expect it to remain the same stance or darn close to it.
The rake is in the front for "aerodynamics"... lol. Personally I don't like the look of the rake, I like the more aggressive flat look.

We added the Rubicon suspension on our Sport but I bailed on the .75" leveler. I'm glad I did. The JL doesn't need it.

What size tire did you end up with and I think I will do the same till I add a bumper and winch....

With the hurricane coming through I might just install it in the garage tomorrow... pending if the wife will let me lol

Everything was Rubicon takeoffs bought from this site. Tires are 285/70/17 KO2s. We love the look and ride.

Just FYI
-- 245/75/17 are 31.5"
-- 285/70/17 are 32.7"

Yeah I already put on 255/75/17’s on it from my TJ so already in the middle... trying to decide if I want to try for some rubicon wheels as well...
