Yep! I put 35’s on with zero issue. I’m going to do a small lift but it’s really not necessary unless you’re doing some serious off-roading

er
What is the height of your fender from the ground? Curious how much of that extra lift I lost when I put on a winch.

LOVE your Jeep!! This is a sport? I thought it was a Rubicon?
Thanks. Yes it is Sport S. Need to get hood lettering changed soon :) The Rubi take off hood I picked up still had lettering. I really like the look of Rubi Recons so I started picking up many Rubi takeoff items. Flares I had to do new and have paint matched.

Just picked this up on Thursday 8/27/2020. Sting Gray with black top. My first Jeep, my now ex-wife had gotten a 2020 Cherokee and I was really impressed by it. Then I saw the Recon edition Rubicon and was immediately obsessed with it. I originally wanted Bikini Blue but she kept telling me it was a girls color, well I had a line on one but it got sold before I could get it, so the girls won out I guess. I didn't like the Sting gray until I saw it as the Recon. The black and red just make it pop. I hunted for one with color matched fenders and the tow package. Well I could find one or the other. I decided the tow package was more important for me for the bigger alternator, battery, and aux switches. I figured color matched fenders would get scratched up anyway.

First night in the garage I came down to find find a flock of ducks on my new jeep. I was duck, duck, Jeeped x3.
My ex-wife is into that she has a lot of fun with it. I think it's kind of cool to promote the Jeep community.

Congratulations! She's a beaut! That is my second favorite color on the Recon;)

Your story sounds familiar, it took me two tries to get my Recon. Absolutely love this Jeep.

I picked up my Recon a few months back. I was looking at either Stingray or White. I had a lead on the Stingray, but the dealer sold it just before I had the okay from the better half. Which I am glad it sold as the White is AWESOME with the red accents.

I had to have the 1 Touch Sunroof as I have had both soft/hard tops on my last JKU. I rarely ever took the top off/down, so the 1 Touch is the best of both.

So far I have added:
- Winch (Rusty's winch plate)
- Mole Tailgate Table (adopted it off my old JKU before trading it in)
- Tazer Mini (adjusted start up screen to be a Rubicon, turns on rear camera when you turn blinkers on)
- Spiderweb sunshade in red
- Steersmarts Track Bar and Track Bar Brace (Didn't need, but know those are week spots on JKU)
- Mopar longer lower control arms (Knowing I will be getting a small puck or 2" lift soon)
- ASFIR engine skid plate (Wanted to keep things light this time around)
- CB Antenna (Mount to stock tailgate)

Hopefully will get to hit some trails local to me soon (Uwharrie) I have not been out on the trails since last year and itching to get out again.

Thanks,

Ken~

I used the rustys winch plate on my recon as well. Did you find it strange that is leans the winch forward?

@ALT_Crawl its supposed to lean it forward some. This way when it rains there is no standing water in the winch area.

My only issue when installing was my winch control box plug would hit the pull bar, so had to drill a new hole on the side of the box for the plug. Wasn't a huge deal and VERY please with how everything came out.

Just got her back from the shop after the 2.5” Metalcloak dual rate lift install. Just right for me and a smooth ride. Mixed with a little glamour shot :giggle:

Great color choice. Once I saw the Sting Gray in person, I knew that was the one I had to get. Congratulations!!!
