Can you confirm if the end caps are secured by just 3 black (8 mm) screws? There seems to be no structural support on that end cap.
Yes just the 3 screws. On mine I didn’t even use the bracket but I’m thinking about redoing it and using the bracket.

I find it extremely odd there are no structural support for the end caps to the frame.

The bracket is supposed to be the structural support

Reason being I thought it's suppose to be secure.

(ex: i punched the endcap, it would pop out, or if someone hit it)
End cap is just there for cosmetic reasons, the entire fender flare is pretty much cosmetic anyways.. held by some plastic clips.

If you want to save your body panels, you would want them to pop off the moment they snag on something.

Does this appear to be correct to you though?

There is another bracket unaccounted for in my pile of parts.

did the rubicon only have 2?

1. To hold the bumper to the frame of the car

2. to hold the plastic cover piece?

Hey @tatarin

see photo attached.

what is that bracket for?

To install the plastic cover piece, do I use the Sahara bracket or rubicon?

On mine I used that bracket from the rubi bumper and I had to also drill a hole about 2 inches or so from that single mount hole. That’s gonna be used to attach the plastic cover plate that sits right below the wheel well liner
