Very nice work, I didn’t think about trying this solution. Thanks, will definitely check this out as I see the misalignment everyday and I’m completely annoyed by it.
Any chance you could snap a pic of the alignment issue? Just curious how noticeable it is. Thanks

It’s stupid. It’s sad the parts guy at the local dealer now knows me for all the parts I needed to add these bumpers. Finally asked why I didn’t just buy a rubi....have any of you installed the front steel bumper? I was hoping to tomorrow. Is it easier to swap? I felt like the rear bumper took way longer than I expected to part of which could have been because of the sensors.

Front bumper is easy. Really easy. Hardest part is getting to the inside pair of nuts on each side and that wasn’t super difficult, just a bit of a pain.

Did a bracket in wood this am to test my concept. The goal was to re-use the Sahara end cap instead of the one provided with the steel bumper. Worked fine!

Used a plastic cutting board for the final bracket material as its flexible and can obviously handle water very well. Result is great!

Note: You will have to drill a hole in the metal bracket to support the plastic piece that is being used as the finition.

No solution so far in regards the misalignment. Still thinking about how to fix this. As for the sensors holes; I decided to cap them for now. Ordered some caps on ebay. Will see how they fit.
Which sensor caps did you buy? Any pics?

Received the caps but they were so cheap and didn’t fit properly. I decided to create my own using rounded screws and to paint them. Took some time the bumper needs to be removed to bolt them properly. Now it look great and its solid like a tank!

Thanks...I just mounted the bumper and prefer to not have to unbolt it. I'm gonna look for some decent looking caps.

Any chance that you kept a copy of the template and can PDF me a copy so I could duplicate? Thanks, Chris
