Sticker price is up over 10k for the same options from when I ordered in 2018. It seems like a lot but just 20% over nearly 5 years. 4% per year or less average inflation. It could be worse. It could also be better.

Plugging in my builds now, here's how mine fleshes out:

My '21 Hella build, $4,130 higher now
My '22 Hydro build, $2,370 higher now

Man I'm glad I got in when I did. Rare time when the planets aligned for me.

I ended up getting the $45K Hydro for $34K when it was all said and done.

I don’t see how any of this is possible. You people need to watch the news more. Everything is fine. Inflation was transitory like a year ago.

you also didn’t factor in the increased interest rate. You’ll find that the same Jeep from 2020 will cost you $100-300 more a month than it did then.
It’s been a long time since I borrowed money to buy a car, and I know interest rates have increased over the last year, but isn't the size of the payment difference going to be a function of 1) how much you’re borrowing, 2) the length/term of the loan, AND 3) the interest rate?

I continue to think we’ll be seeing more factory-supported purchase incentives over the next year (in the form of rebates and special financing). Of course, I’m not great at predicting the future. 😉

Guess this is my first and last Jeep. I really enjoy it but prices are too high now for me.
Agree - too high for most of us.

My 2022 was ordered before the 2022 price increase, so basically at 2021 prices. It's gone up $2,500. I ordered a JLR with 4.88 and tow/electrical group, no other options.

BTW, my Bronco (order placed Jan 2021) now shows $2,600 more. I cancelled my Bronco order and ordered a JLR.

I would say they will price themselves out at some point. Then I think how popular range rovers are and they are some of the biggest pieces of shit on the road.

I paid 46k for my Sahara and its by far the most I spent on a car. I guess the upside is for early model JL owners its good for resale.

I also paid 46k for my sahara in may 2021. They don't make a sahara 6sp anymore but one with the auto and my options is running 55ish now...too rich for my blood, this one better last me long time!

Umm, well, the real inflation rate seems to be higher than the Jeep price increases, so not really a surprise. Luxury goods are the things that will increase most readily to match inflationary pressures on their costs to manufacture, and Jeeps are really not necessity items to just about anyone. Real cost of everything is going to be visibly increasing at crazy rates now that the 2022 elections are out of the way, so buckle up if you think the Jeep increases are crazy.

MY22 JLUR (being built)
For shits and gigs I went on the build site the other day to see what my 2021 JLUR cost in 2023

according to the build site on Jeep.com my $54,xxx build is now $59,xxx :whew:

yikes....

btw, I ended up only paying about $48,xxx thanks to Kent and his 8% below invoice pricing
Same thing here. Bought my 22 from Kent for about $46k. Priced a 23 with the same options and it was almost $10k more 😳

Same, using the 8% below invoice (although it's all relative) I was OTD for $42,500 '21 JLUR, Manual, Hard Top, Safety Group, Optional Wheels, I had to add Proximity Locks at that time too, but it's included in '23 so that's a wash.

'23 = $48,250

This ^^

The annual inflation rate for the year ending November, 2022 was 7.1%, compounding the 7.7% inflation from the previous 12 months. That’s a net 15.3% over two years. If we include 2019 and 2020, both low inflation periods, the cumulative total is still over 20%.

This is a reminder that money left in the bank quickly declines in value. If you’re fortunate enough to have a good place to invest it, and if you live in my state, you have to be able to grow your $100 to $140 just to break even at the end of four years. (After paying state and federal tax on the $40 you earned you’ll get to keep $20, bringing your balance to $120 and the same buying power you used to have with $100.) This is why planning retirement is scary
. If the present inflation continues (but doesn’t increase) for the next five years, the Jeep that costs $60,000 today should be $84,600!

Sure glad I bought my jeep eco diesel in 2020, when people where too scared to venture outdoors. The dealer had them discounted 8k just to move them . I ended up getting mine for $51k out the door loaded with everything.
