I'll say this.. 4.10's are USELESS with 37's.. 5.13's are BARELY usable with a manual above 10k feet where I play. I thought 5.13's would be a huge difference but when you think about it, it's only a 20% increase. With the manual trans, I'd say 5.38s are in order.

I'd like to have 6.x something to be honest.
I've been planning 5.13 / 5.38 gear swap, mainly with the purpose of shrinking the effective jump from 3rd to 4th which is particularly bad. If I get to use 5th and 6th, great. If I lose the use of 1st because it's too low, no biggie.

I've been leaning more towards to 5.38 and your feedback pushes me even further that direction.

Definitely go with 5.38. I believe the pinion is the same size as 5.13 so there’s no strength difference.
