Post some pics when it’s all said and done! Congrats on the retirementThanks, I recently have taken my company's Early retirement package and have now been retired since Jan 1st.
I have ordered a 2021 Rubicon Hardtop. Going to have Mopar 2 inch lift with BFG 35's and Vapor Fuel Wheels and Mopar Rock rails with step. Reinforced Spare Holder for the weight.
The bucket list starts at Moab Rubicon trails.
I love the Sky One Power Top my Sahara has but I want the openness of the Hardtop now.
My Wife gets the Sahara since it's hard to keep her out already of it.
I think if you just invested in a programmer (Tazer JL or Flashcal) you wouldn't have to worry about your speedometer.
If you want to avoid tires rubbing on your suspension, you DO NOT want to go wider than 285 on stock wheels.
@Dogboyslim post above gave you a good suggestion, 275/70/18 is a good size on stock hardware.
For some comparisons on stock 18” wheels.
This is 275/70R18 (33") on my Sahara back in the days:
And this is 285/75R18 (35") on my Sahara now:
Are you running a leveling kit in this picture?
I never saw this thread again until today. Little late but here is the Rubi now. The BFG tires where on 2-month backorder so went with Toyo Open Country MT my dealership had on hand.Post some pics when it’s all said and done! Congrats on the retirement
