The JL just doesn't have that much flex...
can confirm. the stock suspension does not flex a bunch. after a long weekend of wheeling, i was rubing the front fenders, but no real contact in the rear. the artec inner fenders show some minimal contact in the rear.

A low center of gravity is always nice. Currently running a 2.5” RK kit on 39” BFG Krawlers, but soon to go 40s.

if youre going to run this tire size without a lift, i would highly recommend some skid plates and rocker guards.

Those are the AAL replacements yes. I trimmed the rear pinch seam back about an inch, trimmed the front pinch a bit, and added bumpstopping front and rear. No rubbing after that.

So i went with a 1.5" teraflex list, and was told by someone they did BFG KM2 37" no rubbing, based on your experince do you think it's possible if I use the AAL product?

remember the AAL is only for the front, you need to gut the rear fenders as well for that to clear. but yes, i think youll be fine.

here is a little representation of the rubbing im seeing with no lift and 37s in the front.

i think 1 to 1.5" with no bump stop adjust would be perfect...

What do you need to do to the back? There are so many for d ply options in the 37s, makes me want to try this route

same operation as the front, just without the brackets. unbolt the couple bolts in the back, yank the fenders off, yank the fender into two pieces, trim the plastic tabs from the fender and reinstall.

i would however recommend some inner fenders, too. they protect a good bit, but they really clean up the look. the open fender look never bothered my on any of my previous jeeps, but this jeep has alot of "stuff" under there and its not clean looking at all.

OK, now that I've joined the Rubicon 37s, no lift crew! My initial impression is just because you can, doesn't mean you should...

Hostile "Predator" wheels, 0 offset, 4.5in backspacing.
37x12.50R20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
No lift.

Driveable on the street with no wheel well mods, but rubs on moderate corners or on driveways if not super careful. Rubbing especially bad with passengers. The wheel well plastic mod is pretty much a necessity, but haven't gotten to it just yet. However, for me, even just wheel well mods won't be a long term solution, but having these wheels and tires sitting unused in my garage wasn't working either! Now researching for an affordable, but upgradeable lift. I Have thought seriously about a short term $200 spacer lift while I save up for something better, but worried that my Army colonel wife will be satisfied with the fact I'm no longer rubbing and just be good. Big secret: I try to rub even more while she's in the Jeep to justify a real lift!

Couple of other semi related notes.

1) I look ridiculous with my old 33s hanging off the back as my spare, but haven't found good inexpensive solution for relocating the stock mount just yet. My rig came with the factory Mopar tailgate reinforcement, so I need something compatible and I just want to raise it up just enough to fit stock steel bumpers.

2) Army colonel wife got wise to me intentionally rubbing more when she's riding with me. Hard to pull a fast one over her. She's not sympathetic, lol!

When I need new tires i plan on throwing 37 ko2s on stock wheels on my 2018 JLUR, also I would have to upgrade the tire carrier right? And also 37s would require a tire calibration from the dealer correct? Then after saving I'd get the 2" mopar lift.

1) Yes, at a minimum you would need a relocation bracket to raise up the tire so it fits. Other factors, such as tailgate reinforcement, or more involved solution could also be considered.
2) It will run and drive without calibration, but speedometer, odometer, and transmission shift points will be thrown off. You could do it at a dealer, but I went with the Tazer JL - Lite, for only $215.

I run 37s no lift (1.75" wheel spacers) and it runs a bit only at full stuff with sway bar disconnected. On street no problem

My lift was supposed to show up today but shipping got delayed. Wheels and tires came in and I figured I'd test it out. 37x12.50 BFG KM3s on Method 702s. Put about 40 miles on it and no rubbing. Definitely won't be taking it offroad until the lift is on.
