Ya know, Steven, you wouldn't have had to run that solo if you had CALLED YOUR FRIEND THAT LIVES IN COLORADO! ?
LOL..I know it! Truth be be told, it was mid week and a rather spur of the moment to run Wheeler.

Alright then, you'll be hearing from me the next time we're in Colorado.

By the way, are you planning on doing EJS this year? Can't wait to see the new 392 up close Jason.

I may try to make it to EJS... I've been to Moab quite a few times, but I've never been to EJS. I usually go when it's quieter, but it would be cool to check out some of the concept Jeeps and that sort of thing at the vendor show. Not sure I would enjoy getting on the trail behind 2458349 other Jeeps.

Let's keep in touch as we get closer. I know they have begun limiting the number of Jeeps per trail, but on certain trails it's a long ride.

Just got my 23 JLU Recon, in your opinion what's the from factory weak point, I broke my arm 2 days after buying so haven't had a chance to climb under and see what's open if there's a problem there but that's where I normally start

The factory skid plates are cute. Go use your Jeep. It will tell you what it needs.

Hi Daniel and congrats on your new Recon! Here's my advice, drive it, wheel it and figure out how you want to use your Jeep. That will really help inform you with which mods you need/want.

It's incredibly capable right from the factory. As mentioned, If you wheel it much, contact at the mid to back half of the gas tank skid is likely as well as the rear lower control arms (LCA's). The Artec Industries skids will give you peace of mind here and actually give you an additional 3/4" of clearance as they raise the skid. I'd recommend installing LCA skids before hitting the trails as well...bending the stock rear LCA is pretty easy to do. Also, maybe consider upgrading your Diff. covers. The stock covers are thin and easily deformed when contact is made.

I have a couple of videos I posted on my YouTube channel you might find interesting. 'How Much Jeep Do I Really Need' and 'Do I Need Armor On my Jeep?'. Good hearing from you, looking forward to seeing your build.
