Installed the Rough Country tailgate reinforcement today.
I didn't like the idea of metal against the paint, so applied paint protection film around the rear vents. I also bought slightly shorter black socket head cap screws in place of the zinc plated bolts.
It does seem to stiffen up the tailgate and the fit and finish was excellent.
