For those that installed the spacer lift kit themselves, was it necessary to disconnect the driveshaft from the front axle like they describe at the very beginning of the instructions? Other spacer lift kits don't have this step, so I'm curious if (and why) anyone else did this step.

You don't have to, but removing the 4 bolts does make it a little easier without putting too much stress on the joint housing on the transfer case side. I've swapped springs without disconnecting it a few times, but made sure the driveshaft was not resting on the housing when fully extended.

Can anyone help me out with pictures of the 2.5 inch suspension lift on a Rubicon on 35s. I want to switch to a suspension lift vs the spacers and I’m on the fence between the 2.5 and 3.5

It's still a suspension lift. It's going to look 1 inch higher.

Happy to hear you got it figure out. Free mods/fixes are always the best
Doesn't hurt to have the dual stabilizer for the "bling" and slightly stiffer steering feel. I will eventually end up with a Fox ATS or equivalent so that I can turn the stiffness all the way up on long highway trips, and all the way down when I go crawling.

Love both Jeeps. just purchased 2019 jl sport 4dr. Had 1975 cj5 in HS. Looking update tires, like the jl, that has the RC 2.5 spacer and 315x70x17 ko2's is that correct?

Thanks. I'm not sure which picture you are referring to?
The 315/70r17 KO2's in a C Load rating are a nice riding tire. My wife and I both have mud terrains, but I've installed plenty of kits with those KO2's and they ride great.

Looks great! The look I want to have. Going with the 2.5 RC and 315x70 KO2's, where did you get the Roam bumper?

@MTN1 I purchased the complete bumper, winch and light setup from Tankcustoms here in Houston, I believe ROAM off-road is located in Spring Tx
