Just happened to see that Shell (who also makes Pennzoil) has come out with a new gas truck synthetic oil for heavy duty gas engines which also includes severe use - like off roading. It meets MS-6395 so it shouldn't cause any issues. I personally prefer Mobil 1 but since it doesn't have MS-6395 certification and I plan on keeping my JL for a long, long time I guess I won't be using it. I've used Rotella T6 full synthetic in my Kubota tractor (diesel) for the past 8 years and I'm really happy with it. Anyway, anyone tried the new Rotella oil yet? It's available in 0-20 so it meets the specs for the 3.6. Rotella Gas Truck Synthetic

The lack of Mobil 1’s certification to the chrysler standards is due to corporate corruption and not science or engineering of any sort.

However, many have used rotella gas truck, it’s good oil.
