I've been looking myself.
The wife needs a step, but I like the look of the stock Rubi sliders.

Saw the LOD Detroyers, and liked them. But some said they can flex into the body and dent it.
They also have their Armor Lite, which looks like it has a better tread.

I don't do much hard core wheeling, so I'd even consider the Mopar steps.
I really like the factory look, even if they aren't for off-road protection.

I've got the Mopar side step that sticks out like you noted. Haven't gone off roading so not sure how well of a protector it is

What's the P/N for these?
I've seen some other Mopar steps in the for-sale section, but they look a bit different.
I like these.
Thanks!

I was curious if you guys had any suggestions for a rock rail that kind of sticks out a little and can almost double as a step. I don't want to give up any ground clearance and i'd hope to keep them around the same weight as the stock mopar rails.

My wife has a 21 Willys and I have a 21 Rubicon but i swear it seems her rails stick out a little more than mine do. I thought they were all the same. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks everyone!

Chris
Take a look at the Shrockworks sliders, they're frame mounted and extremely well made. You can add the Dimpled Tread Plates which helps with stepping into the Jeep. Their lead time is about 6 weeks right now but they're worth the wait.

YESSA! 2 door sliders!! I'm finding that the market has taken a sad turn. 2 door aftermarket has dwindled down to not much at all.

You're right it's tough to find a good selection of stuff for the 2 doors. I've found several for them but most were body mounted and I'd prefer the frame mounted. These are heavy sliders and everyone I know who has these really likes them.

Now I have to time my order right because I'm getting my Jeep in IA and was going to have these made and shipped out there along with a whole bunch of other stuff I've already bought. lol

Those are really nice but I ended up going with the ace slider rails. Thank you though.

Plus one for the LOD sliders, I got the armorlite sliders myself. They are frame mounted and you don't lose and ground clearance whatsoever.

Went with Ace sliders so I could keep my Rubi rails on also. Looks great and doubles as a step.
Do you have to keep them on? Do you have any pics how they look with Rubicon rails still on and without?

Thanks

If you want clearance and protection, go with Rockhard4x4......They are also one of our sponsors (JLWranglers Forum). I have them on my 2021 JLU. Lowest point on the body, will still be the frame and skids.

Note: Also, they do not interfere with 40" tire installs

If you want steps that will actually protect the Jeep. Get the white knuckle off-road ones. Best pic I have of mine, but they have done a great job. You can get them in a 45 angle like mine or as a step.

You could take them off, but I like the look of covering the pinch seem. Never took them off so only a picture with the Rubi rails on.
