Doc... Duh.
yes.. out about 3 inches and up maybe 2 inches. the up isnt a lot at all.
stock has a cut out for the tire. the rock hard doesnt.. so the tire mount moves it out to clear the bumper. but if you look at my pics, youll see that it doesnt go up much at all relative to the seam on the bottom of the door.
Cool. Thanks. Wish they made the cutout so there would be one less thing to buy but I haven’t found anything else aluminum on the market but genright.
i took a pic for you last night so you could judge the height for yourself

well, like a dope, i didnt realize it til after i had the bumper on and tried to close the rear door!
quick order to get the carrier.
i, too, wish they had put the cut out in. after spending so much coin, i didnt want to spend another $150
but it is what it is.. and i am happy with the quality

purchased a RH 4x4 patriot aluminum rear bumper to match the front one i put on.
install was very easy... instructions are pretty good, but i think they should put a video online.
bumper was very light, but waaaaay stronger than the crap plastic one i took off.
i think it looks great, and will be far better protecting the vehicle.
one thing though, i didnt read carefully and only realized AFTER i put it on... it will NOT fit the spare with the factory spare tire carrier. you have to buy their spare tire carrier. it is solid plate with not tire cutout.
it cost $109 and it is basically an adapter to adjust the height and depth of the factory one.
it installed easily and looks great.

I know this is an old thread but I’m hoping you can grab a measurement for me. How far is it from the face of the tailgate to the rear of the bumper? Trying to figure out if my tire would be able to clear using the carrier spacer I have + the offset on my wheels that have pushed it out some.

Thanks for the help.

I just called rock hard 4x4 and asked them if the aluminum rear would fit with the standard tire carrier and they said it would if your tires were smaller than 33”. I am running pretty close to stock (265/70/17) and they said that it would be fine but i dont see how it would. Anyone have the measurement from the bottom of tailgate to top of bumper? With that and the measurement shown a couple posts before I can verify if it will fit.

Thanks! I dont know why he said it would work. Its not even close. Theres only 1-2inches between my tire and the tailgate and the bumper is 4” deep.

Correct. There is no cutout like on the stock bumper.
If you had a smaller tire, it might be NARROW enough that it wouldnt matter. But 33s wont work without their carrier which just relocates the stock carrier up and away.

just read up on this RH rear bumper. quick question for those who have it. with their bracket, are you using the original tire brackets. i have 35's on stock rims and liked having the tire rub a little on the steel oem rear bumper to help with the weight. any issues with RH bracket and original tire bracket on rubi?
