I just installed my Rhino-rack backbone today and noticed the mounts move a bit. Is this expected??

I made sure everything is seated, but the bolts have shoulders on them that seem to bottom out on the nut and not tighten to the top. Could be the design, but I wanted to check.
Video of the movement attached

Mine flexed some too, I think it should be ok (not sure how much force you are using). The platform or bars should strengthen that when you install them.

Watch the screws when you attach the platform or bar. It's been a while so memory is hazy, but I think the screws that came in the box with the bars were too long and I had to use different ones that were in the backbone package. The instructions were pretty awful. If you use the too long screws it will start pushing the brackets up (and you'll probably end up with a hole in the hardtop).
