Nice writeup. Just joined! I recently purchased a CPO 2021 2.0T with ~56k.
The 2.0 engine will appear wildly overfilled if you don't check the oil 5 minutes after a warm shutdown. The procedure is listed in the owner's manual and it's one of those "gotchas" about owning a 2.0 engine.

It's also wild that there's a Stellantis-knockoff of a proper Mopar filter now. What in the actual hell is going on! lol

Thanks, it wasn't that simple unfortunately. I drained 6 quarts.

Too bad no Purolator filters were included in this comparison. The Purolator Boss and Purolator One are good filters.

IMO a synthetic filter should have more surface area than a cellulose filter due to high flow requirements in having smaller diameter filtration.
I have never seen that in practice--look at the FRAM Endurance versus the SuperTech. It is clear the SuperTech has more surface area and media--but the FRAM wins on efficiency.

It's all about the media efficiency...

Purolator = Mann+Hummel. They had a serious run of bad non-Boss Purolator filters a few years ago (tearing media at low mileage). I may go grab one of each--I think AAP sells them near me.

1/2 quart. Due to my oil growth chasing problem I have trialed this dozens of times. If you do the oil change text book per the manual, then check in 12 hours, it is 1/2 quart. That is how much stays on the top end of the engine to drain back down.

I previously used the XG10060 on my daughter’s 2020 Jeep Renegade. It seemed to be of a good quality and was always available.

My wife bought a new 2024 Jeep Compass Limited last August, and I dropped the oil & filter in it around 800 miles, using Pennzoil 5W30 that met specs and an MO339 filter.

It is now at 4,200 miles, and will be getting another oil change and a tire rotation at 5,000 miles….but I’ll be going with the FRAM FE10060 from here on out.

I run the Endurance in my Bronco too. It has a cartridge filter like the 3.6L (though the housing is all aluminum unlike the FCA design). For the quality and the cost, they are hard to beat.

If you put 5 QT in, you should get 5 QT out. I was getting more than 5 QT out due to oil dillution from fuel. I've not heard where a lot of extra oil stays in the engine during a drain, say like on an EcoDiesel or a Duramax. The dipstick reading will vary depending on when you check it...because Jeep made a dipstick into a rubix cube.
