It was but they had to keep ESS on. I dont consider it a negative but it is something to be aware of. Otherwise it's more power, a smoother power band, better shifting, better mileage and the new pcm has the Jeep idling smoother and the fan is sooooo quiet now.

Can i ask for a favour. I am struggle to download the stock tune, its coming up with a error message "Wrong Strategy". I think i might have connected the bypass cable wrong.

Can you please take photo of your bypass cable connection, which port (canbus) did you connect the little 2 pin wire and what about the the actual OBD connector?

I think I had that happen too. Email Livernois and they will add that strategy to the tuner. You likely have it hooked up right as it can be any canbus port.

My mileage is shooting up(when I dont get on it for fun) and even the 87 tune is worth the price of admission. Such an improvement all around. So far I can't recommend this enough!

Can you elaborate a bit more on the mileage increase (what you were getting and what you are getting now)?
Also what wheel/tire setup are you rolling with any any lift?

Stock tires and wheels so far. I normally drive a lot for work but not so much lately. Around the city I am getting a solid 2+ mpg. Highway appears to be a good bit more but I have not had much highway time lately.

City 18.5 -> 20.5
Highway ?

very cool as well, we don't directly "claim" MPG enhancements, but most people do report an improvement, so it's nice to see you're collaborating what we have heard elsewhere as well!

Making an mpg claim on your end would be a massive waste of time. After installing a tune everyone is going to stomp the gas pedal for fun!

You need a tuner with pcm unlock and a cable, I believe. They are all mentioned in this thread:
