Unconfirmed reports/rumors of an accident involving site member @American Jeeper at Easter Jeep Safari.
Some reports/rumors from fellow JLWF members and updates:
MOAB, Utah, April 15, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — One person was airlifted to an area hospital after a Jeep accident on the Golden Spike Trail near Moab Sunday.
A Facebook post from Grand County Search and Rescue said the patient was flown by Classic Air Medical while emergency medical services and search and rescue were still en route to the scene.
“We were en route to this incident on the difficult Golden Spike jeep trail to assist as needed,” the Facebook post said. “We rely on the workhorse of our fleet, our rangers, to get us and EMS to the scene. “Shout out to our fleet manager and his team for building these amazing vehicles. Thanks to Classic Air Medical, such a great resource for our community for successfully completing this rescue.”
The photograph below shows the vehicle officials used to get to the Jeep.
Grand County Emergency Medical Services said: “Thank you to the team at Classic Air Medical who are able to access and start patient care quickly in the Moab back country. If you have not already please watch our video on safety for Jeep Safari.”
Golden Spike Trail is a 16.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Moab, that is rated as difficult to navigate.

Hello all, I tried several times today to go through the thread in its entirety and due to calls and other distractions related to this situation, have still been unable to finish. It seems like some posts were moved or deleted. I have tried to respond to those who have reached out to me individually, but want to be respectful of the group and anyone I may have missed and communicate some of my thoughts.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has sent warm wishes, prayers, and offers for help in a variety of forms. I am so grateful and very humbled by the tremendous amount of support that has been shown from not only forum members here, but the Jeep community as a whole.
I’m certain there are a million questions, some of which may never be answered. There is quite a bit of misinformation going around that unfortunately I am not in a position to correct presently. As you can imagine there is a lot going on with this, and feel it best to leave it at that for the time being as I work through things, try my best to stay positive, and cope with the aftermath.
Again, many thanks for being so kind and understanding given this difficult time for all involved.
Jeremy
Also, the woman who was injured posted the following on Facebook:
I want to thank everyone that helped on Sunday. You all are my heroes and without you, I wouldn't be here. I don't remember much after the jeep came off the rock and turned towards us. So very thankful noone else was hurt. 2 surgeries down, not sure how many more but I'm blessed to still be here... I was flown to St Mary's in Grand Junction. Thanks to Dr Gumman for piecing me together Sunday night...you were so comforting when I needed it the most.
Found this on FB, be careful out there.
... they said he was high centered and gassed it to get free. He broke free and hit a bystander and wound up with what you see. They heard he was hurt as well.
News Story from Gephardt Daily:Supposedly the woman he hit was medflighted out. Busted up her leg pretty bad. I didnt read anything about him being hurt.
