Updated with iSeeCars' 2019 Report:
iSeeCars has published its 2019 report ranking the vehicles with the highest and lowest depreciation and like last year's report, the Jeep Wrangler tops the list with the lowest five-year depreciation percentage (five years after sale). The 4-Door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited only sees a 30.0% depreciation after five years while the 2-Door Jeep Wrangler is predicted to depreciate 31.5%.
For comparison, the average car depreciation over the first five years is 49.6 percent
According to iSeeCars: Jeep models account for the top two spots on the list, with the four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited having the lowest five-year depreciation closely followed by its two-door counterpart, the Jeep Wrangler. “Jeep Wranglers are known for retaining their value for reasons including their ruggedness, durability, and iconic design,” said Ly. “Because of Jeep’s loyal following, their demand outstrips supply in the used car marketplace leading to high resale values.”

For comparison, here are the vehicles that depreciate the most.
2018 Report:
iSeeCars has just published its 2018 report on the vehicles with the highest and lowest depreciation. After analyzing 4.3 million new and used cars, the Jeep Wrangler tops the list of lowest depreciating vehicles (five years after sale). The average new vehicles loses 50.2% of its value after five years, but the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited only depreciate 27.3% after five years!
The new vechicles that retain the most value after five years are SUVs and trucks, while electric vehicles and luxury sedans depreciate the most, according to the study.
Here's what the report had to say about the Jeep Wrangler:
"Jeep earned the top two spots on the list, with the four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited having the lowest five-year depreciation followed by its two-door counterpart, the Jeep Wrangler, by a fraction of a percentage point. “Jeeps are known for retaining their value due to their enduring popularity, as well as their durability and performance across all terrains."
And in case you're wondering, here's a chart showing the highest depreciating vehicles.
