Replacing the third light on a 19 Sahara

I just replaced my third brake light on my JLU, and the the wires are not protected like the were with the original third light. I’m not sure if they will be damaged if it rains, I currently have them just sitting the the wheel holder. Any one replace their lights and have recommendations on what to do? I don’t want to damage the wiring.

Buy some exterior Tesa tape. It can be found on Amazon or other places. Wrap the wiring in that.

X2, this will give them some abrasion resistance and make it look more professional.
