Replacing regular Fenders with Highlines

Despite still being in the dark about the Aussie spec for the wrangler. It is really starting to seem as if we won't get the highline fenders here... Has anyone tried removing the regular fenders on a Sport or Sahara and replacing it with the Highlines?

I'll be getting a Rubi and I am a real fan of the stock highlines... If it is possible to simply swap them out I would consider importing a set of them and doing the swap.
