I just wish I could find someone to make me a custom baffle or give me the file so my son could 3d print for me
Any decent car audio shop should be able to knock one up. I'm going to make my own out of MDF. Will probably take a couple of hours with basic tools. The cut out I need for my sub is smaller that what the factory sub required so I'm going to make sure it seals properly and provides maixmum support.

I was thinking about doing the same. Thinking about using 3/4 in thick HDPE material (cutting board plastic). With a band saw and router. Should be able to make it neat.

Did you change out dash speakers? I am putting JL audio C2 600 components and putting tweeters where the 3.5 inch go and the 6 down in kick. Is that too far from each other?

It this stage I'm only replacing the sub. I've auditioned the speakers that I want to use for the components and foolishly fallen in love with some really high end speakers (about $1k per pair for the 3.5" replacements and about $1.5k per pair for 6.5") Then I need to add amps. At this stage I'd rather spend that on other mods.

I should add that I've had comp level audio systems in previous cars so getting a system that performs how I want is not cheap. Plus I'm in Australia where everything is easily twice as expensive as the US.

I actually used the old baffle. I just turned the sub a bit and drilled and mounted the JL to it. I don’t care about the logo and it made things easy. I sat around trying to figure out the best option without going crazy on the fabrication of a new baffle and so far this is working out fine.

The JL is a known quantity with a few people already running it in the factory enclosure. Both the JL and the RF will require a custom baffle as the stock Alpine is slightly larger than 10" so a 1/2" baffle should give enough clearance for the vent. If RF say it will work in a smaller enclosure then no harm in trying it. I'm going something different again with a Digital Designs SL710. I don't believe they make them any more but I was able to find an NOS one from a guy who bought it and never installed. My amp is currently on back order so could be a while before I'm up and running.
SO I've been reading this thread would you DD over the JL I found DDsl610 series not sure...the build quality on the DD is awesome

Does anybody have any pics of the box internals? I am assuming its plastic if so are you adding fiberglass to it to strengthen it?

If I hadn't found the DD at a great price I would have gone the JL. From a packaging and mounting perspective the JL is the better option as the front mounted magnet on the DD means it sits out a lot further into the cargo space and needs to be protected from damage. The JL you can just buy the JL speaker grill and be done with it whereas the DD you need to make something custom.

nice setup. Is there an upgrade sub, plug and play, to replace the stock alpine sub? I have a 2021 Jeep JLU sport S. 8.4" screen with the Alpine sound system.

Unfortunately nothing plug and play as yet. The factory Alpine sub is not a regular size (closer to 11") so nothing from the aftermarket will just go in. There are also only a few subs that will work in an 0.55cuft enclosure.
