That’s interesting. Can you add a couple of pictures please? Of the axle shafts (at the knuckle) and the shift knob showing positions? Lots of people dying to see this. Maybe even one of the transfer case if you’re so inclined. Thank you!
Im interested to see the part # on the transfer case, I think then we could definitively see what the differences are mechanically

In Japan they came standard on the 2019 and newer Rubicon. Mine has it and yes I have CVs in the front. It has 2H, 4H, 4L, and the addition of AWD.
I’ve attached a copy of my build sheet.

Photos as requested!

While I was under there I was able to clear out some rocks stuck in the skid plates that were making a bunch of noise lol

To tell you the truth, I barely use it because I haven’t seen any snow in my JL yet (bought earlier this year but no snow). I used it in the rain a few times and let the rear slide out on purpose on a hairpin corner and it definitely makes a difference in AWD compared to 2H.
I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for but when I go off-road, I just use 4H or 4L

How do you like it?

@SPiNZ , do you know if your axles are the 210 & 220 "wide" that the US spec Rubicon gets?

Now that’s a question I can’t answer since I don’t have my stock wheels/tires. If I did, I could measure the width from tire to tire and compare with other stock Rubicons in the US.... Since axle part numbers aren’t visible externally on vehicle, I don’t know how I can tell.

But come to think of it, I think I’ve seen something in a catalog or online specs mentioning wide axles.... I’ll check around to see if I can find it.

BTW, I think the part number on the transfer case and solenoid were visible in my picture. Was that okay? I’m sure the numbers are different than the ones from the US Rubicons.

These photos are great. Thank you. I’m sure someone will comment more on the transfer case.
Oh! One more thing. Anything about this prohibit flat tow?

I'll try and find it, when I did a quick search nothing popped up, thanks for the pictures

It would be on your Monroney (Window Sticker)

https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C4HJXFG7LW191057

Just put your VIN in place after the equal sign. It would look like this under standard equipment in the left column.

Dana M210 Wide Front Axle
Dana M220 Wide Rear Axle

I think that’s only for domestic models. Mine says no window sticker for my VIN.

I just checked my VIN on that website, and i had the same issue at first with not being able to get my build sheet. I then tried again, but with using capital letters and it worked...just FYI

from what im gathering its clutch driven and not chain driven and CV joints but I dont have any confirmation

Correct, the Full-time transfer case (model# MP3022) is clutch-based instead of chain-driven.

Jeep part # is 68240450AC

So what does this mean to durability & off-road use? I live in snow country & would like to have the best of both worlds, but I don't want a weak or unreliable experience offroad.
