  1. It is possible that there are holes in the hood underneath the tie-down bumpers. These holes are usually used to secure the bumpers to the hood.
  2. If the bumpers were attached properly, the paint underneath them should not be damaged. However, if the bumpers were installed incorrectly or were loose, there is a possibility that the paint may have been damaged.
  3. If there are holes, the diameter may vary depending on the specific Jeep model. It is best to consult the owner's manual or contact the manufacturer to confirm the size of the holes.
  4. Covering the holes with plastic plugs is a common solution for those who want to remove the tie-down bumpers. Spray painting the plugs to match the body color or leaving them unpainted is a matter of personal preference.
It is important to note that removing the tie-down bumpers may affect the structural integrity of the windshield and the hood, and may also void the manufacturer's warranty. Therefore, it is recommended to consult with a professional mechanic or the manufacturer before making any modifications to your vehicle.

I say delete the entire hood.
This way your line of sight is not encumbered.
