Is it clear-coated over?? If so, why not take them to a wheel refinisher and have them work it off and re-clear?

#1 - Cost.
I got the Ruby take off wheels/tires as a cost effective way to upgrade from the minivan tires that came on my Sport. I would assume to do what you say would be a few hundred bucks. Pretty sure I paid less than $10 for the stickers.

FWIW my little stickers are still holding up great.
Hope those that want to do similar have luck finding a source.

I bought a set of vinyl Willys off Etsy. I can update how it goes. If the quality isn't there, there are other options. Like others have said, nearly certain the stock wheel Willys are painted. It seems like there is actually some variation in sizing of the oem which would support that. Some of these Willys vinyl seem to perfectly cover the oem, some don't. Some of that might be user install error too I guess. We shall see.
