I have the 2.0L. Dealer swears they put in 5 quarts...pictures clearly show otherwise.

@JeepCares I appreciate that, really I do. But the fact that Jeeps have nearly doubled in MSRP over a 10 year time period and my income certainly hasn't means that if I'm going to spend $50K+ on a vehicle I can't have any doubt that it is being cared for properly, which means doing maintenance myself.

Tons, I told my service advisor "5 quarts" and I would check their work when finished. They still got it wrong and had to fix :computerrage:
Paying for and taking my own 5 quarts of oil next time @JeepCares ....
I know, I could do it myself but like to have oil changes on record till the warranty period is over.

I had to speak to the general manager of the service department at my local dealer in Fairfax VA and then demand that I could supervise the mechanics to ensure the only put 5 quarts of oil in. Its mind numbing that this is required, but they already botched it once and overfilled so I was not fooling around. Even after all that and watching the mechanic put in 5 quarts, they still billed out 6 quarts on the invoice..... can't make this stuff up ......

Same here, SA feed me bull $hit the JL actually takes 5.10 quarts of oil and they can't bill that. So, they bill 6. I think they know FCA is too stupid to know it is wrong.

Pollard in Boulder, CO got it right first time.

Told advisor (who wrote it down), tech confirmed with initials, invoice says 5qts, checked oil all is good!

The bad thing is when you tell them at the service desk, and they don't believe you. Lol.

It is just so easy to get a 5 quart jug and put it in there, knowing the measurement is exactly correct. I don't really know how precise those dealership bulk oil dispensers really are.

You can get your own oil on the cheap, too. Shell Rotella Gas Truck 0w20 is on clearance for 20 bucks for a jug and they have a $10 rebate. I picked up a couple jugs for my daughter's Renegade and the rebate came quickly. Mobil 1 may still have a $12 rebate, too, which puts their EP oil, which is outstanding, at about 14 bucks or so for a jug. Also I think Quaker State Ultimate Durability ow20 is about 19 bucks for a jug at Walmart, if you don't want to wait for a rebate.
