I would have run a strap between the rear tow hooks and through the end loop of the long strap, so there is less risk of turning the frame into a (non-90-degree) parallelogram by pulling on one corner. Or, use the rear trailer hitch receiver, put a pin through the end of the strap.

Yep! I see a cheap badass off-road toy build! Strip the interior completely, let it dry out for a couple weeks... Snatch the electronics out, dry out the harnesses and interior...6.4 Hemi swap, D60’s, lift, 40’s, etc... ​

It's like they never heard of winches. Bunker the winch truck down with some rocks in front of the wheels, 3 sheaves and just pull it. Helps if they would put the transmission in neutral too.

And whoever thinks the zoom focus look is cool, stop it. It's not.

Yeah, they were clearly not outfitted to do a clean recovery. I wouldn't have posted that vid. On the upside they could beat the shit out of the stuck vehicle because it was pretty much totaled. They had kinetic ropes with them so why even use a tow strap and jerk the shit out of the recovery JT.

Spot on winch and snatch blocks, if they would have had them it would have been recovered the first time. Not been the big drama.
I'm sure that a few of us here noticed that they had not pulled the "emergency transmission release" that got edited out going back and doing that.. Don't forget stop with the dumbass music blasting too. I like music but damn.
