I bought a take out for a hemi swap from AMW4x4. Call them. Not sure if they have slowed down swaps.

Put a RPM Extreme fan controller on it, open up the grill. Other options are a Gladiator fan, Mishimoto radiator. But the fan controller is the key to lower engine temps. The other mods provide extra margin, but need the fan controller to do any good.

Has anyone bought a 3.6L remanufactured engine for their JLU? I have a 2018 JLUR with a blown head gasket. I'm wanting to purchase an engine from a company like Jasper engines, Fraser, or Powertrain Products. Any input on your experiences would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve used Powertrain Products for my son’s Ram 1500 pickup which was a very good experience. Engine came packaged in a sealed crate and we loaded up the core into the same crate and scheduled a pickup. They typical rebuild and fix any of the known issues if they exist.

They don't seem to list one for the JL, but I plan on calling them. Thank you.
Jasper doesn’t build a PUG1 engine. Powertrain products also didn’t, last I checked. I’ve never had any luck finding any aftermarket reman engines for these.

I received a quote back from Powertrain Products. I submitted my VIN to them. Hopefully they are correct about which engine I need.

I had a 3.6 in a 2019 JLU replaced under my extended warranty. The old engine blew a head gasket at just over 50k miles. The dealer installed a MOPAR reman engine (long block). So far with 3k miles on the new engine I'm very pleased with it. The part number is 68565534AC. The invoice shows the price $2915. I don't know if that would be your price or if thats what they charged the warranty company. While I was waiting for approval from the warranty company I shopped around for a replacement and was told Jasper doesn't the 3.6 for JL. Good luck!

I was wondering about that as far as long blocks go. Thanks for that info.

As far as I know, the basic engine hasn't changed from 2018 to 2024. The oil filter housing did get an update to eliminate figure 8 seals where the oil cooler bolts to it. But that update should go on every 3.6 rebuild.

Where did you land? Sitting here in same issue P0301 and water in cylinder. Looking at Jasper vs OEM for replacement. Waiting on final quote from shop

I'd contact AMW 4x4 and get a 2025 or 2026 engine for about $1k more. You get all the accessories, most hoses, throttle body, sensors, every part is NEW. And it's likely outside the effectivity of the TSB for the cam problem.
