Just do the 37". Ull regret it if u go off reading. I got tired of looking at my 37s in the garage been waiting for my rock crawler lift so I put the tires on with no lift. If u remove the rear plastic filler between the rear bumper and inner fender there is no rub on rubicon with stock hieght. Hearing is pretty good stock. I was quite surprised at how it drives. If u dont drive it like it's a race car u won't notice to much the power difference between stock tires and 35s. I debated regearing but think I'll just leave stock not worth the money to regear ro gain what I feel I lost with the 37s

So you have a stock JLUR with 37's? I'm ok with removing the rear plastic piece as I plan on replacing the rear bumper and that piece is just extra anyway. The question I have is what is the backspace/offset of your wheels and do the tire stick out beyond the body a bit?

I had the same dilemma. If you get the Rubi, which sits higher than at least the sport and has higher fender flares, you can slap on 35s and call it a day. As has been noted, 37s require a lift along with other modifications and eat gas more. If you're cool with that, go for it. I wasn't. Went with 35s with no lift and couldn't be happier.

I plan on going with 35s once my JLUR is delivered for the reasons Bob mentioned. Also, with 35s (and perhaps a not-too-aggressive lift) you won't have any rubbing. (Take that for what it's worth (not much) as I'm still on the learning curve.)
Molar lift 2” and 35’s happy the hell!

Yes I had bought bead locks for my jku a while back that I never installed. I went and bought the jl on a whim. The back space is 4.5. They stick out past fenders. I was going to buy different beadlocks with different back space so they'd tuck back up in fenders but after driving it for a week I like the way it looks. Regardless of lift or no lift u need 2" bump stop extention before u go offroad with 37s....metal cloak jk bump stops work. That's what I bought and will install once I put 2.5" lift on

They say 4.56/4.88. Why dont u just drive it with 37s first and see what u think.

Mine won’t be here until late this year. Trying to get most of the thought process down so I know my costs going in. Plus I’ve read guys unable to use 7/8th gear past 70. Thinking 4:56 but always open to knew experiences so I’m best prepared.

I dont have enough time behind the wheel. I've had my 37s on for less than 500miles and I dont even have 2000 miles on the odometer. I just keep thinking the difference between the gears. Between 4.1 and 4.88 is roughly .7 of a rotation of the drive shaft. And 4.56 and 4.88 is .3 of a rotation of the drive shaft. I do now that with a good wind on highway it would drop out of 8th with stock size wheels. Maybe I'm just thinking on it to much.

Drive 90! Works like a charm LOL.... I have 37’s, auto, JLUR...I do see 8th gear, however as soon as the wind blows at me or I hit a little hill it shifts to 7th... I plan on re gearing to at least 4.88’s, more than likely 5.13’s.. There’s no point in going from a 4.10 to a 4.56 :/. Waste of money for very little gain in anything...
