Got up to 78 degrees in Nashville today. Perfect weather to take the doors off for the first time. There is an extra step to unscrew the bolt that allows the door to hinge. Kinda sucks because I usually left the doors unscrewed all summer for quick access. Doesn’t look like you can do that with the new door stop hinge.

I thought you could leave the door tensioner retracted and just use the strap

The blue pen is pointing at the bolted hinge. You have to unscrew this to take the doors off. I guess you don’t have to attach it back, but it looks like it’d just be loose and scratch it all up.

Yup, 79 degrees here in Knoxville, too. Only managed to have the time to take the freedom tops off, though.

So jealous! It's going to be 73 here in upstate NY tomorrow, but raining. Hmmmm...maybe it's time to check out how easily the water drains out of the interior? No, but maybe after the newness has worn off ;)

Stu,
I don't have the jeep yet so I can't look myself, but is there a way to replace the hinged pin with a quick release pin and in the future just pull the pin out?

I've loved the red dash since I first saw it.

Possibly, I’m not sure how to tell if that is achievable. It’s just a single bolt with a washer.

No not the torx bolt that you took out, I am talking about the actual pin in the hinge part. Right next to the blue pin in your picture. I was thinking, if that was swapped over to a quick release style pin, you could just open the door, disconnect electrical clip, pull the pin on the hinged part and lift the doors off. would be supper easy and quick.

Oh I see now. Just went out to take a second look. Looks like the pin could come out, just don’t know how I’d do it.

Ok cool, thanks. I am going to look into it whenever I get mine. I will have to see how it functions and if there is any draw back to making it like this.
