For kinetic ropes I would use one of these 3 companies. You’ll want a 7/8in for a JL. I use a 10ft and a 25ft. 10ft is pretty short for pulls but sometimes snow wheeling it’s all there is room for, but I mostly use it for a bridle. I’d recommend a 30ft over 20ft because if 30 is too long double it back and make it a 15ft.
- MasterPull (my preference), but wish they’d make brighter colors like red etc. they don’t for UV reasons to extend the life of the rope.
- Factor55 (doesn’t make their own, has them produced from a ship rigging company in TX), but these guys know recovery and how to do it right.
- yankum ropes - These guys do not make their ropes, they just buy them and resell them. I believe it is the from the same ship rigging factory Factor55 has their ropes made.

I bought a yankum rope this last Christmas. Used it my last few trips and it’s been great. Heavy duty, looks like it’ll last a long time too.

Kinetic rope all the way. Mine is from Freedom Recovery. In fact all my gear is from there. I know the owner who also makes all the gear himself. He’s shown me how he does it and everything he makes is rated right on the product so you know what you’re using. It’s also Canadian (if you’re in Canada )

What ever you buy, buy quality. I had one break. It took out my winch, my grill, and my ac condenser coil.

I have an ARB, it stretches less than the others mentioned but works great and lasts.
