What part of WI are you located in? There is a dealer in Chicago who will sell for 6%-7% below invoice if you have Affiliate or Tread Lightly.

It would most likely be worth it to get the 1% Tread Lightly discount, which is an FCA Affiliate code, by becoming a $100 level member of Tread Lightly. However, it will take 30 days from the date you join before your Affiliate code will become active.

First time Jeep buyer here. I live in Fairfield County, CT where demand for Wranglers must be exceptionally strong. The dealers I approached for an Unlimited Sahara Altitude were only willing to discount a few hundred dollars off sticker price. I was a bit shocked by the lack of flexibility.

Happily I discovered this forum and the many recommendations for Leon Travis at Criswell Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM FIAT in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The recommendations were so right! Leon provided me with a price under invoice and made the buying experience very easy and painless. He communicated with me every step of the way. We did pretty much everything via email and text which I found convenient. The icing on the cake was when my Jeep arrived earlier than expected.

In the end the four hour drive to Gaithersburg to pick up my Jeep saved me thousands of dollars and I’m now the happy owner of exactly the Jeep I wanted. I highly recommend Leon Travis. If you live in CT and are willing to drive a few hours for a significant savings on a Jeep then Leon is the man to see.

For anyone in OH (or nearby states) looking to buy and considering Criswell/Koons, give Darius Skinner at Crown Chrysler Jeep in Dublin a try. He matched Criswell's pricing on my JLURD. (OH caps the doc fee at $250.) Darius kept me informed through the ordering process and was prompt in answering my questions. Everything was transparent, straightforward and done via email/texting.

The day I went to pick up my JL, the process was very streamlined. Including the chat with Finance, I was there for a little over an hour. I had a list of things I wanted done prior to my inspection (like insuring seated fuses), which they completed and had no problem doing beforehand.

I'm not being compensated for any reviews, just sharing my thoughts and experiences. Based upon my smooth transaction, I have no problems recommend this dealership.

2021 JLURD. Brought my own financing and Tread Lightly, so 5% below invoice with Criswell, which was matched by Darius. No ridiculous $500/$800 doc fees, because Ohio caps that at $250.

Hard to pick between the Diesel and 4xe as I'm looking around

I recently picked up my first Wrangler (2021 Unlimited Sport S). Wanted to share my experience in case it would be interesting to others.

TL;DR - If you are within driving distance of Gaithersburg, MD, I'd highly recommend Leon Travis @ Criswell. No games, just a good deal and supportive salesman.

Now for the longer version... After educating myself for a few weeks and failing to find a low mileage Jeep with the options that I wanted (both safety packages), I decided to order a vehicle to my specs. I had not had good experiences with the couple local (central MD) dealerships who I had dealt with in my search, so I turned to these forums.

I saw a post about Criswell in Gaithersburg, MD offering up to 7% below invoice (4% forum discount, 2% discount for financing through dealer + 1% FCA Affiliate Discount). I also found a pricing spreadsheet in these forums that included dealer invoice pricing for all Wrangler models and options. I emailed Leon Travis @ Criswell with a simple proposal. If he can get me the Jeep I wanted (I listed the config) for the price I believe is reasonable (I included the price derived from spreadsheet) then he'd have my business. Leon didn't give me the run around by suggesting poorly matched vehicles on the lot, declining the discounts and/or suggesting that I come into the dealership to discuss. Leon, just said "sure, let me draw up and draft order". A couple emails later and a $1000 deposit, my order was placed. FYI, FCA did insist that I order the Technology Group and painted wheels. I joked with my wife "It was almost as easy as ordering a pizza".

I immediately joined the Access Fund (non-profit rock climbing org) to qualify for the 1% FCA Affiliate Discount and began patiently waiting. Leon set my expectations on how the process would process and at what milestone he would communicate with me. Specifically, I got an email at each of the following points in the process: Jeep order has been placed, Jeep order receipt, Jeep VIN Assigned, Jeep Estimated Ship Date, Jeep has shipped, Jeep has arrived. In addition, Leon responded to text messages throughout the process, usually within minutes.

Initially the process moved quickly. Within 4 days, I had a projected ship date of just 8 days after my order. It ended taking 15 days (not 8) after ordering to ship, then another week to make it to the dealership and be ready for pickup. In total it was only 3 weeks and 2 days from order to pickup. When I picked up the Jeep, Criswell threw in a full tank of gas (not the FCA standard 4 gal) and a set of wheel locks (helps dealer avoid wheel theft before sale). I did a test drive and full inspection before signing anything. The first thing I inspected was the fuse box to make sure the fuses were seated (common issue cited on these forums). When Leon saw me doing this, he said "You've been reading the forums?" which evoked on chuckle on my part. He indicated that Criswell prep staff are top notch and they'd already seated the fuses. He was right.

The financial part of the sale was exactly as expected with the sales price exactly matching the order sheet that Leon had emailed me after our first interaction. I should point out that the 2% discount for financing @ Criswell requires that you finance at least 75% of the total vehicle cost. I had not planned to do this, but did so anyway and plan to make a mega payment against the loan (remainder of down payment) very soon. It was worth the almost $1000 discount associated with financing.

I don't buy new cars very often and don't drop ~$40k without some angst. These forums and Leon made the process super smooth. I'm happy to pay it forward by answering any question y'all might have. Do you work for a company? Look up the FCA/Stallantis Affiliate list. There are hundreds if not thousands of Affiliates. You can still get the discount if you are self employed or your company is not a Affiliate. Just join Tread Lightly for $100. You will have to wait 30 days to get the discount. The 30 days is not a big deal if you plan on ordering a Wrangler. Jason Beltran at Hawk Jeep will give you 5% under invoice without the Affiliate or 6%-7% under invoice with Affiliate or Tread Lightly. Give Jason a call. His number is 847-393-5262. He is a totally no BS guy and a straight shooter. No games what so ever. Good Luck.

Hi all - for those in the PNW, I just want to give a +1 to the recommendation for Phillip Olson at Bud Clary Auburn Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. He's been amazingly responsive and quoted me a truly eye popping discount on a custom Wrangler Sahara 4xE. I don't qualify for any special rebates and he is quoting me an 11.4% discount off MSRP - MSRP: $55,525, Sale Price: $49,200. No strings attached to it - only added fees are $150 doc fee + registration. No rebates included at the price, no affiliate. Also applies to a lease (which is what I'm doing).

In case you're curious, the lease is unbelievably cheap because residuals are high and Chrysler is passing along the $7500 federal rebate as a lease credit.

Suffice to say, I put an order in for my first Jeep!

Is the Tread Lightly 1% discount stackable with other affiliate discounts? I work for an affiliate company plus subscribe to Tread Lightly. Would that get me to 7% under invoice (all in)?
