I just put a downpayment on 5.13 gear upgrade last week. Should be a few weeks until I can get it completed but can't wait to get 5th and 6th gear back.
Mine is due out of the shop around Wednesday for the same gearing. Wonder how fast I can get through break-in. I’m off work until Sunday.

Weelll the shop I'm taking mine to told me they would keep the Jeep for 3 days and complete the break-in. I guess they don't trust the customer 🤪.

I think they mean the first few heat cycles. My shop is doing 1-3 of them, but then I have a 500 mile break in period I have to do, followed by a diff oil change.

Highway speeds, I've found no improvement in mpg using 5th or 6th. 4th gear up to 80. Towing I've run 3rd gear at 70-75 for miles on end and no improvement moving to 4th as it doesn't even have enough power to hold the speed.
Mine is better in 5th. If it takes less than 20sec to get over a rise it's not worth downshifting. Sixth though, it better be about 2mi down a hill at which point it's basically one drop per minute.

It's not just gaining 1mpg that matters to me. I don't need it spinning 50% faster wearing down the parts if it's about me getting up a hill in 17sec instead of 20sec.

I'm not towing, though.

:tumbleweed:

Oh yes, that is correct.. they said to bring it back for a fluid swap in 500 so that makes sense.

Got the Y07 done today. All is good. Drives and behaves exactly as before, but now have the indicator on the dash. That'll make me feel better when my brother in law or wife drives it. Now maybe they'll find first gear and not abuse the clutch!
What indicator are you talking about with Y07?

So, my cluster has a big honkin’ Number in it now!

In other news all of my other changes, (DRL’s, Proximity Entry, Auto climate control and gearing change) are still intact. So all is good.

I've heard of ten speeds, but it must be a continuous if you're in gear fifty!

Seriously, though, I don't even notice the gear indicator. I've been slowly training myself to "see" it instead of doing a finger check on top of the shifter.

I’m just pleased it didn’t mess up the rest of my setting changes.

Is it just me or does the “6” for sixth gear look wonkie? Am I OCD?

Looks to me like it is rotated counter clockwise a bit.

People driving around at 26mph in first gear offended with double overdrive. Meanwhile @Gregj is in sixth with the pedal on the floor.
