All that time and money to make the wiring clean looking all gone to waste by using a couple self-tapping screws to ground everything. The paint wasn't even removed in the contact area, which means all the current has to go through the threads of the thin sheet metal. This grounding technique is not acceptable on a street car, let alone an offroad vehicle. There was a factory ground lug about 9" away. So when you have electrical problems look at these grounds.

We've run this same setup on our Command Vehicle JK which we've had for years. We've wheeled it across the country on all kinds of trails (Hammers, Big Bear, Moab, and Rubicon Trail to name a few. It's been covered in snow and rain (without the top). In all that time we've had zero issues with any of the wiring from this setup.

Is the front bumper from the JK or did genright make one for you guys with the proper JL hole spacing? OR did you ream out the holes like I did my old JK bumper to fit the JL? I know they don't currently have that one listed for JL which is why I ask. I like that front bumper a lot. I've always loved the Aluminum bumpers but after being rear ended Friday, I think I may go with a steel rear just from a safety standpoint. Would love to get your feedback on that. Overall, absolutely love the rig and plan on taking some idea's of your layout and implementing them on mine. Hope you guys had a killer show!
This is a JL bumper from GenRight. Here's the link to the bumper as its been available for a little while now. If you'd like to change the stinger up we suggest giving us a call to place the correct order. We should be getting a shipment from PSC Motorsports in the next few days. We'll be sharing what our newest addition the JL will be when it arrives.

Thanks for the reply although I saw that model. I was specifically looking for the one with a stinger as I had not seen that one listed as of yet. The build looks absolutely epic BTW!

I don't think they're going to post it up on their site. We had to call and ask for our stinger.

Hows the ride with the coil overs?
Fantastic to be honest. We were very happy with both the off road and on road ride quality. We spent a lot of time with King working on getting them dialed in. Here's a video of the JL out at Big Bear for its first off road trip since being revealed at SEMA.

Great, you've been lucky!

I used to do a lot of electrical work in fleet vehicles, and while troubleshooting others' work, these types of poor grounds were a common cause of failure. But if luck has been working for you, carry on! I'd think that for the type of driving you do, I'd have figured that you'd have a minimum level of expected quality.

At least the Jeep looks cool!
