We finally got our JL, and this is where you'll see parts come off, and parts go on.

That looks great! How does it line up with the grill from the front?
I love stubby bumpers, but someone needs to come up with something for the fenders to perfect the look.

Since there is nothing currently available in terms of bumpers, this one is from a JK and being modified to fit. Keep an eye on this thread for details as we work on them.

Although, we are considering the currently prototyped Crawler Series from Poison Spyder

Get the one they haven't released yet where the winch goes inside the bumper, like the MOPAR OEM steel front.

You can see it at 1:40 in the following video...

We are definitely looking into it. The "IronMan" JK in the video belongs to our sales manager Taylor, and we have been honored to have the exclusive pre-order for the Poison Spyder Bruiser Bumper with recessed winch mount.

Check it out here:

What jk bumper is this? And what is it that you are modifying?

GenRight JK Boulder Stinger Bumper.

As of now the Bumper itself fits, however the winch tray needs some adjustments to mount properly, which we are currently making.

We will be using the GenRight JK Boulder Stinger Bumper for KOH. After that, we'll have to wait and see what becomes available from other manufactures as well as a true JL bumper from GenRight

@RebelOffRoad have you heard anything from poison spyder regarding their bfh and bfh 2 front and rear bumpers for the jl? I contacted them but haven't gotten a reply.

Did you actually have to modify a JK front bumper? Another group checking on JK fitment said that the JK front bumper that they tried fit onto the JL attachment points without modification!

Update: I read that JL bumper mounting points are same as the JK, but if you want to mount a winch...a JK bumper that includes a winch mounting plate has to have a corner of the plate cut off. The JL front has a metal piece that juts out into one of the plate corners.

It appears that if you aren't going to mount a winch, any JK bumper without a winch mounting plate should fit.
