Rear windshield wiper switch

Help. I just bought my first ever Jeep. 2018 JL. I cant find the switch for the rear windshield wiper. Its not on the same lever as the front one. I googled and that is where they show it but not there. Did they put the rear wiper on and forget the switch??

It is on the same lever as the front one. Right hand side lever behind the steering wheel, see below.

If your Jeep was supplied by the factory with the soft top only then the switch, wiring for the wiper and the plumbing for the washer wouldn’t have been included. Maybe the hard top has been added since the Jeep was originally delivered?

Yours came with a soft top, not hard top. So the hard top is not factory for the Jeep. Look up the VIN yet?

The part is pricey and the installation is time consuming but it can be added...did it to mine as a dual top option wasn’t available for the 2 door. With hindsight I would have ordered the hardtop and bought the premium soft top as an add on.

Well according to the vin it came with a soft top. You all were right. Now i have a windshield wiper that is worthless. Going to contact dealership I bought it from to see if they can fix or not. Thanks everyone

They should fix it because they represented it as a functioning hardtop.

There’s a Mopar kit for doing the conversion which also includes the wiring for the defroster

Please read through the thread and check your VIN with link provided to see if it came from FCA factory with a soft top like OP.

My Jeep is 3 months old and I bought it new. It never had a soft top. The link doesn’t work btw. My question remains. Should my Jeep have the rear wiper switch?

They are great inventions. If your vehicle has one you should try it. It's like a defroster for dirt.
