Figured I'd bump an old thread instead of posting a new one. Has anyone found something like this? Ideally looking for something that could bolt onto the factory spare tire bracket mounting holes, and then bolt the OEM tire bracket back on.

American Adventure Labs has a new rack that is just about ready for release. I run their M.A.A.S. Shelf and can attest to the quality and good design that goes into their products.
Here it is being trail tested. It looks like the design allows for easy addition to the Jeep only when needed.
Here's a few more pics of the prototype. I ran into AAL at EJS and we talked briefly about the development.
Additional Specs:
- All Aluminum Construction
- Weighs 20lbs.
- 33-42" Tires

That's perfect! Definitely putting that on my wish list now LOL.I bought this at the last minute before a trip. We put on 2700 miles, 2 days worth of rocky trail riding.

II think it was like $500 from ExtremeTerrain, last minute purchase took about an hour to install. That's a good size cooler on there and it was packed. Normally I just take the seat out but we ended up having to take the dog along.
I may mount a Pax bracket so we can take along 2g water jug. I think for most people the extra fuel and water is for show with the exception being those people who are in back country for an extended period. The only reason I would have is so I could carry water for the dog with out caring fragile gallon jugs inside the vehicle but we'll see.
