Hey gang. Changing out rear Sport plastic bumper with steel bumper take off from Rubicon. The plastic bumper has studs from frame to bumper and steel bumper has studs built in and nuts are required?

Does anyone know the specs of the 4 nuts required? Hoping to pickup from local hardware store once know specs.

Just FYI - already changed flares to Rubi. Not that this matter but wanted folks to know so we donā€™t start replyā€™s about mismatch.

thanks all

I realized that after I posted it... I had to go to the dealer to buy a few bolts for my front bumper... much bigger hassle, but able to get exactly what I needed.

Agree. Had to do same for front (skid plate brackets, pinch nuts, couple bolts, filler panel). Looks like may need couple pinch nuts and bolts for rear I didnā€™t realize from you PDF. Thanks

Can you elaborate on this statement?
From past posts, the problem people were having was that the rear bumper fit too closely to the tub(body). When the rear bumper cam in contact with anything, it rubbed or smacked the tub, damaging it.
i would go with an aftermarket rear, unless you could extend the rear bumper out a little more than factory.

The real issue is the mounts are paper thin, allowing almost anything to push the bumper into the body. Both bumpers are way too light for the kind of wheeling I do.

I'm willing to bet the bracket flimsyness has something to do with the crash test rating

I wonder how good the bumper would be with stronger brackets. Maybe some aftermarket company could build something... It doesn't look like it's too complicated.

Did you need the parts circled in yellow? I have the tow package.
