Rear middle seatbelt - manual retract?

Today my son pulled the rear middle seatbelt all the way out trying to get it to lock so he could secure his water can after the baseball tournament, and now the dang belt won't retract (aren't kids fun?). I looked all around for a release but didn't see one. Anybody else experience this and know how to get the belt to retract?

Unfortunately no Bryon but please let us know if you figure it out. I’m curious myself.
